Installation and permission requirements

DNS TXT requires access to change the domain DNS. A homepage meta tag requires access to edit the home page head. A public file requires publishing a file on the site. Platform hosting serves the approved asset on xAgent. Customer self-install keeps the file on the customer domain and stays pending until an independent refetch matches. Choosing a verification method does not choose hosting.

Generating a challenge does not prove ownership or grant website modification authority.
